HOW TO USE THIS SITEUse the Menu-bar on the left to select the category of music. On this site you may view a sample of the score, and listen to sound file (MP3) of the complete work. If you wish to buy the music you may click the link which will take you to www.ScoreExchange.com where the whole score may be viewed, played, purchased and printed using the "Scorch" plug-in. The lastest version of "Safari" is not supporting Scorch at present so Windows Explorer or Firefox should be used.   |

  MY MUSIC
Most of the scores are for sale although a few are free. You
have the benefit of being able to see and hear before you buy.
Prices for scores of chamber music and larger works are kept low as
you will have to pay for the instrumental parts.
The scores are carefully prepared and (so I am
told!) widely admired. If you do find any errors, a correction is just an email away at:
info@aluncookmusic.com
There are a few scores specifically written for students, but the vast majority are written
with professionals in mind. I have always been lucky enough to play with and write for
players who enjoy a challenge. In the case of arrangements you will find scores vastly
more accurate and true to the original than many others available online.
  THE COMPOSER
I studied Clarinet and Saxophone at the Royal Academy of Music, and have played in everything from Punk to Puccini.
I live in Kent in "The Garden of England". My musical tastes have always been eclectic ranging through Classical,
Jazz, Rock and Contemporary - from Bach and Blood Sweat and Tears to Berg and the Brecker Bros. My music reflects
this broad taste and after a career of performing and teaching I now spending my time composing and arranging.
My reputation has come from my skill in scoring with a real understanding of the capabilities of the instruments for which I write. Scores are well presented and my music is widely performed (music sold to 49 countries so far). My writing for wind and brass tends to be quite demanding, often being commissioned for specific ensembles, but there are tutor books for clarinet and saxophone and some elementary pieces to help specific technical difficulties. Feedback is always welcome, and I am particularly keen to hear of performances and receive copies of programmes.
