20 Family Brass Carols - Trad. arr. Alun Cook

These traditional Christmas carols and songs were arranged for very junior standard players on parts 2 and 3, and the ranges of the outer parts are comfortable. The keys have been kept simple and the range limited. Some of the harmonies do not strictly "follow the rules" and are not ideal but this is to accommodate the limited range of the players. A slimmed down Trio version will soon be available. An alternative treble clef Bb part is available to cover the trombone line.

The Shepherds' Farewell (with choir) - Berlioz arr. Alun Cook

The Shepherds' Farewell (L'adieu des bergers) from L'Enfance du Christ has become a standard for choirs at Christmas. This version has been written for performing as accompaniment to a choir. The key is a semitone lower than the original to save the trumpets from playing in F# major.
